Your responsibility as a landlord
As a landlord it is your responsibility to ensure the electrical installations in your property are safe.
Anything electrical within your property must have been checked to ensure its safety.
This includes all appliances, lighting, wiring and sockets. J Harris Electrical can carry out these inspections for you and provide the necessary landlord electrical safety certificate.

Some guidelines for landlords
Electrical Inspections must be carried out every 5 years or on change of tenancy whichever comes first.
All residential let premises should have some form of automatic fire detection and warning system.
All fire alarm systems need to be regularly tested to ensure they are working properly.
Electrical appliances must be visually checked at the beginning of every new tenancy.
If an appliance is second hand, it must undergo PAT testing.
